Finding Sparking STEM at Wesley Hall
The quickest and simplest way to get to the Upper Room, where the sessions will be held and the facilitator will meet you, is through the rear entrance on Brick Street. This is easily found by following a small path around the building from the front car park, or directly from Brick Street where you can park along the road. This is shown in the photos below. There will be a Sparking STEM sign on the entrance so you'll know you're in the right place. Just go through the double doors and follow the Sparking STEM signs up a flight of stairs to the Upper Room, where Amanda will be ready to greet you.

Facilities for students
The hall we use offers a large, bright space so that students have plenty of room to spread out and access learning in a way that works for them, whether that's working at their own table in their own space, spreading out on the floor to engage in hands on learning activities, or working in groups or pairs around tables.
The room is well heated, but windows and doors may be open to provide ventilation. Having the option of warm clothes if the weather is cold would be a good idea, ideally using thermal layers rather than bulky jackets so that students are still able to work dextrously.
Hand gel will be available at all times in the hall.
Accessible toilet facilities are available for our use just down the hallway.
Students will be able to step outside the main hall if they need some time out (where they will still be within site of the facilitator). They will also be able to move to the end of the hall and have their drink, snack or break whenever they need to.
All equipment, worksheets, pencils, rulers etc are provided but students are welcome to bring their own. We cannot provide refreshments so students should bring a water bottle and snack if they are likely to want them. Find out more on the FAQ page here.

Parking
There is a car park at the hall, accessed from the main road, for dropping off and collecting students. There is additional roadside parking without restrictions in Brick Street just behind the hall. This also provides the quickest and simplest access to the Upper Room where we work (see the slideshow below).
We ask that you please do not leave your car in the car park for longer than is necessary so that it is available for use by other members of the Wesley Hall staff and community, thank you.
Extra parking spaces can usually be found close by along Crookes high street within a few minutes walk of Wesley Hall.
